A Morning of Dialogue
The Search Committee recently participated in a workshop from our Diocesan Facilitators for Racial Healing.
It was an incredibly transformative "Morning of Dialogue" done to bring us closer to the church's mission of reconciling the world to God. Thanks to Andy Andrews and all the facilitators for their work!
Their next workshop is at St. Philip's Episcopal Church in Jackson on Saturday, January 13.
NOMINATIONS & APPLICATIONS RECEIVED!
Now that the nomination and application period has drawn to a close, the Search Committee for the 11th Bishop of the Diocese of MS is pleased to share our excitement at both the quantity and quality of applicants whom God has called to discern with us!
We want to extend a big thank you to all who prayerfully considered the call.
May the Holy Spirit continue to direct and guide our work as we begin our dialogue with each candidate!

Charge to the Search Committee
On Friday evening, March 31, the Standing Committee met with the newly formed Bishop Search Committee and charged this group to "carry out a Spirit filled search, working together to identify no fewer than three and no more than five individuals who clearly desire to be the eleventh Bishop of Mississippi, and who in the Committee's judgment possess the gifts necessary to guide this diocese into the future as the body of Christ in this place." We have full confidence in the abilities of the Search Committee and trust them to carry out this charge with grace, diligence, and prayerfulness.
